One man, alone, on foot, across the Simpson Desert
In June/July 2015 I will attempt to walk solo, un-assisted across the Simpson Desert. This will be a west to east crossing, departing Old Andado station in the Northern Territory, traversing the geographical centre of the desert finishing in the outback town of Birdsville, Queensland. This will be a journey of over four hundred kilometers, crossing approximately eleven hundred sand dunes, I will haul all of my own water and provisions in a purpose build cart and should take about twenty days to complete my journey. Apart from my own personal physical and mental challenges, I shall be doing this trip to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research.
